The Energy Week @ ETH 2025 is organised by the Energy Science Center (ESC) and serves as a vital platform for students and professionals to engage with the complex challenges of the energy transition under the theme, "Jointly Responsible for the Energy Future." Throughout the week, participants can attend a variety of formats, including the main Symposium: Energy Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, which retrospectively examines energy research at ETH and discusses current challenges in decarbonization and supply security. Additionally, specialized Focus Dialogues cover cutting-edge topics like leveraging weather data for resilient energy systems, developing flexible grid tariffs, and innovative heat storage and negative emission strategies.
A key attraction is the public "Time of Energy" Exhibition hosted in the ETH Main Building, which uses ten digital clocks to visualize the rhythms of energy flow, storage, and consumption in a hypothetical net-zero Switzerland in 2050. Beyond the academic content, the week includes…
