About the event
What is AIV?
AIV (Akademischer Ingenieur:innen-Verein) is the professional student association for civil engineering students at ETH Zürich, founded on 22 February 1890 — making it the oldest engineering society on the campus. The association represents students towards the institute and ETH’s departments, organizes a wide programme of technical talks, building-site visits, exam-preparation courses and social events, and runs the student bar Loch Ness. Their office is located at HXE C23, Stefano-Franscini-Platz 5, 8093 Zürich.
How to become a member?
Membership is automatic for civil engineering students at ETH Zürich when they pay the semester fee to VSETH (CHF 10) and select the AIV checkbox during registration via MyStudies. Non-ETH students may also join as passive members — simply contact the AIV executive committee.
