About the event
Rethinking Economics Switzerland is a student-driven network committed to promoting pluralism in economics education across Swiss universities. The organisation advocates for a broader and more diverse understanding of economic thinking, recognising that the economy — shaped by culture, society, and the environment — cannot be explained by a single theory or universal law. Instead, meaningful insight emerges when students are exposed to multiple schools of thought, from Neoclassical and Post-Keynesian approaches to Complexity, Austrian, and Ecological Economics. By encouraging this diversity, Rethinking Economics Switzerland aims to equip students with a richer, more critical understanding of how economic ideas shape the world.
At the heart of their mission is the belief that economics should be open, accessible, and reflective of the wide range of perspectives that exist within the field.
